A) Old Surety’s Online Bill Pay Service is a payment service that offers Direct Billed policyholders the added convenience of paying their insurance premium online.
Q) When is Old Surety’s Online Bill Pay service available?
A) Online Bill Pay is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Q) If I use Old Surety’s Online Bill Pay service am I required to use it every month?
A) No. This service is available for your convenience. You may choose to use this service for consecutive months or mail your payment.
Q) Can I pay my bill online using a credit or debit card?
A) Yes. Direct Bill payments can be made using our online system under the following conditions: (1) You have an active policy with Old Surety Life Insurance Company, and (2) your policy is currently active in good standing, (3) you are NOT enrolled in the Bank Draft Payment Program.
Q) Which credit/debit cards does Old Surety Life Insurance Company accept for online payments?
A) We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and Diner’s Club through our online system.
Q) How can I be sure that my information is secure and protected?
A) Old Surety uses Payroc to process payments. Payroc complies with all PCI (Payment Card Industry) security standards to keep your personal information secure. This means that you can pay online with confidence that your data is protected. The portal uses encryption and other security protocols that prevent third parties from reading or accessing your information while it is being processed.
Q) What is PCI Compliance and why is it so important?
A) PCI stands for Payment Card Industry. Compliance with industry standards is a requirement for any provider or application which uses the transmission and/or storage of credit card information.
Q) What information do I need to pay my bill online using a credit/debit card?
A) You’ll need your policy number and last name in order to make an online payment.
Q) What if I can’t find my policy number?
A) Please contact Old Surety Life Insurance Company at 800-272-5466 for assistance.
Q) Can anyone make a policy payment using the online payment system?
A) No. Only active Direct Bill policyholders may make online payments.
Q) How long will it take my online payment to post?
A) Payments made using the online system are posted to your account immediately upon successful completion of the payment.
Q) How will I know if my payment was successful?
A) After your payment has been processed our online system will display a confirmation number for your records.
Q) If I pay using the online system will that change how I receive my bill?
A) No. Making an online payment will not affect how your bills are delivered.
Q) Can I pay with my checking account?
A) Not at this time. Online payments must be paid by credit card only.
Q) What do I do if my online payment fails?

Q) Am I able to change my billing method through the online system?
A) Not at this time. Please contact Old Surety Life Insurance Company at 800-272-5466 to make policy changes.
Q) Do you offer recurring credit/debit card billing for my policy?
A) At this time we do not offer any recurring or automated CREDIT CARD/DEBIT payment options. We do offer an automatic draft payment program using a checking/savings account.
Q) Can I make more than one payment at a time?
A) Currently only one payment can be made at a time. To make additional payments simply initiate subsequent payments using the online system.
Q) Can I change the amount of my payment?
A) Not at this time. Payment amounts are fixed according to the terms of your policy.
Q) Can I change my Bank Draft Information online?
A) Not at this time. Please contact Old Surety Life Insurance Company at 800-272-5466 to make payment processing changes and obtain the required forms.
Q) What if I need additional assistance with making a One-time Payment? For example, if I get an error message, an incorrect amount was entered, incorrect payment method used, etc?

Q) Are there additional fees to make online payments?
A)Yes. There is a convenience fee of 3.5% added to online credit card payments. Debit cards can be used without any additional fees.
